General
- How many templates does Sportsite.tv have for me to choose from?
- The sportsite.tv templating system allows you to choose a wide variety of colour schemes, font types (headings and body), font sizes and layout designs. You can insert your own club layout to create a unique template that distinguishes your club from the rest.
- What web address would my sports club site have?
- Your club name is able to appear in the address to your website. For example: http://yourclubname.squashclubs.com. Don’t like squashclubs.com? You can choose from one of many of our addresses, or suggest your own. You can use our availabilty check to see if your preferred club name is available.
- Where is Sportsite.tv located?
- Sportsite.tv is operated by Itomic in sunny Perth, Western Australia but is available to any sports club worldwide.
Membership
- How does the Sportsite.tv membership signup process work?
- When creating an account you will get a 15 day free trial period to test drive your new sports website. On the 15th day your credit card will be charged US$10. On the same day every month you will be charged this amount for the month in advance. You will be able to cancel your account at any time.
- Do you offer a free or ad-supported version of Sportsite.tv?
- It might be something we consider in the future, but at this stage we cannot commit to providing =SITE_NAME?> for free.
- Can I close my account and end my membership?
- Yes, you can do it by cancelling your World Pay subscription. A "cancel" button that simplifies this process will be available to all accounts shortly. By cancelling your account, all of your website content will be deleted and the website will no longer be accessible on the Internet.
Payment / Subscriptions
- Are there any additional taxes or fees?
- Sportsite.tv operates in Australia and therefore all Australian users are charged an extra 10% GST on top of the normal price. Users from other countries do not have to pay any additional taxes or fees above the normal price.
- How do I pay for a Sportsite.tv account?
- Sportsite.tv uses a leading, reputable third-party gateway called WorldPay to handle payments. When you sign up, you will be redirected to the WorldPay website to enter your credit card details.
- Which credit cards do you accept?
- You can use VISA or Mastercard.
- How much is $US 10 in my currency?
- You can use the Yahoo! Finance currency converter to determine what the price will be in your currency. The following are some quick links to this converter:
- Is my credit card and other personal information secure?
- Yes. Your credit card information passes through a secure connection during processing at WorldPay. Your other personal information is stored in accordance to the Sportsite.tv privacy policy.
User Support
- How do I add photos to custom pages?
- Firstly, add the photo(s) to your photo collection in the "Manage Standard Pages" panel. Next, in your custom page, press the
Insert Image... button, pressListand select the most recent image. PressOKand your image will be inserted for you. - Is there a way to correct my spelling?
- We are looking into various ways of offering spell checking built into the CMS. In the meantime, you may wish to install a third-party spelling checker to your web browser:

- Firefox: Spellbound
- What is a signed applet/security certificate?
- Our graphical editor uses a Java Applet purchased from Site Point. If you receive a security message while trying to access an editor, you should check to make sure it has been signed by Site Point and is marked as safe. The good news is you probably only have to do this once!
